Will a jeweler be able to tell the difference between a natural mined diamond vs. LMD?

No,  LMD's are optically identical to a flawless mined diamond. That is the most give-away indicator that it is not a real mined diamond.  However, they DO NOT test positive from a diamond tester and they would determine it is a simulated diamond.

How are LMD's made?

We use a method of growing crystals which is known as the 'CVD method'. The Chemical Vapor Deposition method is designed to replicate the way nature produces a diamond. Developed in the 1980's, CVD exposes the seed diamond to vaporized carbon-plasma while inside the growth chamber. As the gas hardens, it produces a diamond like stone

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide via Fedex and UPS.  International shipping costs are displayed during checkout immediately after you enter your address. In some cases, additional brokerage and customs fees may be charged when your order enters your country. Since we do not know these fees up front, we cannot notify you of them during checkout and they will be your responsibility.

If you are concerned about the cost of brokerage and customs fees, please contact your local government representative.

International shipping dates can not be guaranteed due to variables such as customs delays.

If an international shipment is refused at any point during the customs process, once the parcel has been returned to LMD, the customer will receive a credit for the amount of the item(s), less any and all duties and taxes imposed, as well as the shipping costs paid to retrieve the item.

What is the difference between LMD's and CZ's?

LMD gemstones are different from CZ in several important ways. Our gemstones do contain zirconium oxide, however they also contain several other elements that give them significantly different properties than CZ's. LMD's are heavier, harder, and most importantly less porous than CZ. A well cut, well made CZ actually looks quite a bit like a diamond, at least at first. The problem is, however, CZ's are very porous.

They will always ultimately absorb elements in their environment. This could be smoke, hand lotion, natural oils from your fingers, etc. Ultimately a CZ will always degrade and become cloudy. This can happen in as little as a couple months depending on how the jewelry is worn. Ours will not.
